Holtz Bay is located on the northeast corner of Attu Island in the Aleutian Islands in Alaska. The Japanese referred to this location as Asahi Bay.

Wartime History
After Japanese forces occupied Attu on June 6-7, 1942, this area was used by the Japanese as an unloading area and seaplane anchorage.

American missions against Holtz Bay
June 7, 1942–May 1, 1943

On May 11, 1943 U.S. Army "Northern Force" landed to the north of the bay and moved inland to the southwest and southward to link up with the "southern force" at Holz Massacre Pass on May 17-18.
