Location
Juneau is located in the panhandle of Alaska in the United States. Borders the Gastineau Channel. Named after Joe Juneau, an Alaskan gold prospector. Since 1906, Juneau was the capital of the Territory of Alaska and today the state of Alaska.

Juneau Field (Juneau Airport)
Opened July 1, 1941 as a civil airport. Used as a refueling/servicing stop still in use today
