Location
Rakhine State is located on the western coast of Burma (Myanmar). Borders the Chin State to the north, Magway Region, Bago Region and Ayeyarwady Region to the east, the Bay of Bengal to the west, and the Chittagong Division of Bangladesh to the northwest. Includes the Arakan Mountains. Off the coast are offshore islands including Cheduba Island and Myingun Island. Sittwe is the capital of Rakhine State.
