(5th AF) B-24s from the 90th BG and 380th BG bomb shipping, dock area, factory and residential areas of Makassar. 2 light cruisers are damaged and many buildings along Juliana Quay and in the town area are damaged or demolished. Lost due to ramming is B-24D "Pelly-Can" 41-23688 (MIA).

(FEAF) Fighter-bombers hit targets of opportunity in the Makassar area. Lost is P-38J 44-23394 (MIA).

(FEAF) Aircraft fly armed reconnaissance and harassing missions over Makassar.

April 23, 1945
(FEAF) B-24s fly a shipping sweep over the Makassar Strait and damage several small vessels.

May 10, 1945
(FEAF) B-24s bomb Makassar ship basins.

August 6, 1945
(FEAF) B-24s bomb supply and personnel areas and AA positions in the Makassar area.
