    Raja Ampat Group (Raja Ampat Islands) West Papua Province Indonesia
The Raja Ampat Islands (Raja Ampat Group) are separated from western New Guinea by the Sele Strait (Galowa Strait, Revenges Strait) and separated from Batanta Island by the Pitt Strait (Sagewin Strait). To the northeast is Jefman Island. The Dampier Strait (Augusta's Strait) is located between Waigeo and Batanta. Prewar and during World War II part of the Netherlands East Indies (NEI). Today, located in the Raja Ampat Regency in West Papua Province (West Irian Jaya) of Indonesia.
