Lat 34° 13' 56N Long 132° 33' 60E  Kure is located in Hiroshima Prefecture in the Chūgoku Region of Honshū in Japan. Borders Kure Harbor inside Hiroshima Bay. To the northwest is Hiroshima. Iwakuni and Otake are located on the opposite side of Hiroshima Bay. Also known as Kure City.
