    Aguigan Island (Aguihan, Aguijan) Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands USA
Aguigan Island is a small island in the Mariana Island Group (Mariana Islands). Also known as Aguihan. Wartime American spelling was "Aguijan". To the northeast roughly five miles away is Tinian Island and further to the northeast is Saipan Island. To the southwest is Rota Island (Luta).

Today located in the Southern Islands Municipality in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) in the United States of America (USA).

Wartime History
During August 1944 until the end of the Pacific War attacked by American aircraft.

American missions against Aguijan
April 18, 1944–September 7, 1944

During June 1945, an unauthorised U. S. Marine Corps (USMC) landing was initiated by Lt. Col. Chalfant who sent a MP battalions to Agrihan Island to mop up, but were unable to find any Japanese defenders.
