Lat 13° 7' 60N Long 123° 43' 60E  Legaspi is located in southeast Luzon in Bicol Region (Region V) in the Philippines. Also known as Legazpi Port, Legaspi or San Roque. Borders Albay Gulf to the east, the Mayon Volcano (Mount Mayon) to the north and Daraga to the southwest.

Wartime History
Site of Japanese landings on the southeastern tip of Luzon on December 11/12, 1941 by a force debarking form Palau of the Kimura Detachment of the 33rd Regiment. Occupied by the Japanese during their occupation of the Philippines. On April 1, 1945 the U.S. Army landed at Legaspi and liberated the area.
