The National Capital Region (NCR) contains the national capital Manila plus the sixteen surrounding cities and municipalities in Luzon in the Philippines. Also known as Metro Manila. Today, the National Capital Region is the seventh largest metropolitan area in terms of size in Asia, and the sixteenth in terms of of urban population worldwide.
