(13th AF) Eleven P-38s hit barges and buildings in the Vulcan Crater area.

(13th AF) 80+ B-25s, P-38s, P-39s and USN aircraft hit supply areas and underground storages along the north shore of Gazelle Peninsula from Vulcan Crater to Vunapope.

October 5, 1944
(USN) Four TDR-1 Assault Drones from Special Task Air Group One (STAG-1) attack supply caves along Karavia Bay. One drone missed and exploded in the vicinity of the Vulcan barge stalls.
