Location
Lat 5° 16' 60S Long 145° 46' 0E  Bil Bil is located on the north coast of New Guinea bordering Astrolabe Bay. Also spelled "Bili Bili" or "Bilibili". To the north is Yabob and further north is Madang. Offshore to the southeast is Bil Bil Island (Bili Bili Island). Prewar and during the Pacific War located in Madang District in the Territory of New Guinea. Today located in Madang Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG).

Wartime History
Villagers remember of two Japanese guns set up near their village which fired on Allied boats and aircraft. There used to be wrecks of several Japanese and American airplanes near the villages (types unknown) but they were removed in the late 1970s by an "American Museum".

Landing Barge
A metal landing barge is still used as canoe by the villagers.
