Lat 6° 35′ 5″ S Long  147° 50′ 23″ E  Langemak Bay is located to the north of Finschhafen (Finschafen, Finschaven) on the north coast of New Guinea in Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea (PNG). Also spelled Langemark or Langemaak. Wartime American spelling "Langemak".

Wartime History
Occupied by the Japanese and used as an anchorage. During June-September 1943, attacked by American aircraft.

American missions against Langemak Bay
June 12, 1943 - September 17, 1943

On September 22, 1943 at dawn U. S. Navy (USN) Rear Admiral Daniel E. Barbey's Task Force 76 (TF-76) landed the Australian Army, 20th Brigade under the command of Brigadier J. V. Windeyer at Scarlet Beach on Langemak Bay near Finschhafen.

During the Allied occupation of the Finschhafen area, Langemak Bay was used as an anchorage by the U. S. Navy (USN) and a seaplane operating area until the end of the Pacific War.
