Location
Lat 5° 34' 00" S Long 149° 13' 00" E Rein Bay is located on the north coast of New Britain beyond to the west is Cape Gloucester and to the east is Willaumez Peninsula. Prewar and during the Pacific War part of the Territory of New Guinea. Today in West New Britain Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG).
Wartime History
Occupied by the Japanese. Starting in late July 1943 until late February 1944 attacked by Allied bombers and fighters.
