Strip Point Oro Province Papua New Guinea (PNG)
Located between Giropa Point (Jiropa) and Cape Endaiadere.  The 'Old Strip' Buna Airfield is located to the south of the point.

Wartime History
After the Battle of Buna, the US Army developed this area during early 1943 into a fuel jetty and bulk petroleum storage at Strip Point. A petroleum pipeline was constructed inland toward Dobodura. A coastal road connected to Buna Mission the east and Cape Endaiadere to the west and inland to Dobodura.

Petroleum Pipeline
During 1943, a petroleum pipeline was constructed to supply fuel to the airfields in the vicinity. The pipeline spanned from Strip Point inland via Dobodura and branched the northwest of Horanda Airfield (Dobodura No. 4). Another branch went south to the west of Horanda and Ulada and south of Borio (Boru) and to the northwest of Embi.
