USS LCI(L)-24 with New Zealand soldiers on Falamai Beach on Mono Island
At the edge of Blanche Harbor are the bodies of two soldiers killed by gunfire from a hidden Japanese pillbox with a group of soldiers preparing to search for the pillbox. Beyond is USS LCI(L)-24.
