Location
Renandi is located on the north coast of Guadalcanal bordering Iron Bottom Sound. To the west is Honiara and Point Cruz.  Also spelled "Renandi".

Wartime History
On July 5, 1942 Japanese forces arrive off the north coast of Guadalcanal and begin unloaded at Renandi. During the initial Japanese occupation of Guadalcanal, the Japanese built piers and docks at this location to help unload ships and move cargo. During early August 1942 captured by the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) including the piers and docks.

During the initial phase of the Battle of Guadalcanal, Renandi was used by the Americans as a landing area for supplies and troops until this location came within range of Japanese artillery. Afterwards, Lunga Point was used as the primary American anchorage until Guadalcanal was secured and for the remainder of the Pacific War.
