Lat 9° 15' 0S Long 159° 40' 60E  Visale is located near Takolenduna on Cape Esperence on the northern coast of Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands. Borders Visale Bay and beyond Iron Bottom Sound to the north.

Wartime History
During the Guadalcanal campaign, the Japanese occupied Visale until early February 1943.

Visale Catholic Mission
Founded in 1904 by the Catholic missionaries. Occupied by the Japanese, it was used as a radio station location by the Japanese Army. Bombed by Americans and destroyed. During the Japanese occupation, SBD Dauntless piloted by Geiger dropped a 1,000 lbs bomb through the roof of the mission. Postwar, the mission was rebuilt and still in use today.
