Lat 10° 5' 60S Long 123° 45' 0E  Puluti is located on the southwest of West Timor on Timor Island. Known to the Allies as Penfoei or Penfui. Also spelled Poeloeti or Poeloetih. Prewar and during World War II part of Dutch Timor in the Netherlands East Indies (NEI). In 1949 after Indonesia independence, the western half became known as Indonesian Timor. Today located in West Timor (Timor Barat) in East Nusa Tenggara (Nusa Tenggara Timur) in Indonesia.

Wartime History
During 1942 occupied by the Japanese until the official surrender of Japan in September 1945. Attacked by Allied aircraft starting in late 1942 until the end of the Pacific War.
