Location
Falo Island is located in the center of Truk Lagoon in Chuuk State (Truk) in the Federated States of Micronesia. Also known as "Fano Island".

Located to the south is Moen Island (Weno) and the southeast is Osakura Island.

Wartime History
During the Pacific War, occupied by an Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) detachment manning a 75mm Mountain Gun Type 94 emplaced in a cave on the north coast with a field of fire to the northeast to support gun positions on Moen Island (Weno). Nearby was a 150cm searchlight mounted in a truck manned by personnel from the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) 47th Naval Guard Force. Later in the war, the Navy also maintained a manned torpedo base at the southwest coast of the island with two man controlled torpedoes maintained by four personnel.
