Lat 37° 48' 16N Long 122° 16' 15W  Oakland is the largest city in Alameda County in central California in the United States of America (USA). Borders the East Bay inside San Francisco Bay and includes the Port of Oakland.

Wartime History
During World War II, Oakland was an important port facility and used for shipments of aircraft and equipment across the Pacific. Also, shipbuilding facilities including Moore Dry Dock Company that built ships and also scrapped vessels at the end of the Pacific War.

Oakland Airport
Still in use today as Oakland International Airport also known as Oakland Municipal Airport.

NAS Oakland
Locted at the edge of East Bay inside San Francisco Bay plus Pan American Airways China Clipper terminal
