    Havannah Harbor (Port Havannah) Efaté | Shefa Province Vanuatu (New Hebrides)

Havannah Harbor is located in Shefa Province in Vanuatu (Republic of Vanuatu, New Hebrides). Borders the northwest coast of Efaté Island to the south and Moso Island to the north and Leleppa Island to the west. Matapu Bay forms the eastern portion of the harbor, bordering the northwest coast of Efaté Island. Also known as Port Havannah.

Wartime History
During the Pacific War, havannah Harbor was used by the U. S. Navy as a seaplane take off and landing area.
The northwest coast of Efaté Island was developed with supporting shore facilities. Later in the war, this area was a rear area and staging point for thousands of American troops for rest and recouperation (R&R).
