Sinking History
On July 2, 1944 departed Singapore, escorting tanker Kokuyo Maru towards Manila. On July 7, 1944, torpedoed by USS Mingo (SS-261) 150 miles west-southwest of Manila at 13° 55' N, 118° 30' E. When hit, the destroyer blew up and sank with all hands, including Comdesdiv 32.
