Yamatsuki Maru with Type A Midget Submarine at Tassafaronga Point on Guadalcanal
Wartime caption: "Final resting place: Harmess on the Guadalcanal shore is a midget Japanese two man submarine which was raised recently by eight Seabees from a watery grave 300 feet from shore and 20 feet down. The sub was scuttled by her own crew during the Second Battle of Savo Island in November 1942. The hulk of the Jap transport Yamazuki Maru is beached nearby."
