Ship History Built by Higgins Industries in Bayonne, NJ. Laid down April 9, 1943 as 77' Higgins. Launched June 11, 1943 as PT-309. Completed January 26, 1944 and commissioned in the U.S. Navy (USN). Assigned to Torpedo Boat Squadron 22 (MTBS 22). Placed under the command of Lt. Comdr. Richard J. Dressling. Restoration This PT Boat is currently under restoration at National Museum of the Pacific War (Nimitz Museum).
