Ship History
Built by Higgins Industries Shipyard in New Orleans, Louisiana. Commissioned during the middle of 1944. Originally classified as FP-177 (Freight and Cargo 177). Later the designation was changed to FS-177 (Freight and Supply 177).

Wartime History
Assigned to the South-West Pacific Area (SWPA).

Sinking History
On July 17, 1972 caught fire and sank without loss of life in the southern Philippines.
