Ship History
Built by Higgins Industries in Louisiana during 1944. Delivered to the U. S. Navy (USN) as an Landing Craft Mechanized, Mark 3 LCM(3).

This LCM is displayed outdoors at Battleship Cove. Painted in the markings of "P-56". On the stern of the pilot house is the World War II 5th Amphibious Force logo "Suddenly and Violently".
