Oro Bay
Bomb Dump
P-38 Wing

Oro Bay
Oro Bay was the staging area for most ships that arrived in the area. This shot shows the surrounding low hills around the bay. This area was home for thousands of Americans during the war, and these hills were packed with camps and equipment dumps. Occasionally, some are discovered to this day, but are closely guarded secrets...

This is a bomb dump near Oro Bay. There are two long lines of bomb casings, I believe for 500 lbs bombs. Present were only the bodies of the bombs, tail assemblies and detonators were missing.

Allot of abandoned equipment is present in the area, like these spare wings for P-38 Lightnings. Despite lying abandoned for almost 60 years, the US Star is still visible on the upper surface, as are traces of the green camouflage paint.
