Lat 25° 26' 41N Long) 81° 50' 36E  Allahabad Airfield is located at an elevation of 322' above sea level to the west of Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh State in northern India. Also known as Illahabad.

During April to November 1942, used by U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) heavy bombers briefly.

Still in use today as Allahabad Airport as both a public and military airfield used by the Indian Air Force (IAF). The airport has two runways. The first is oriented 24/06 4,800' x 150' surfaced with concrete. The second is oriented 30/12 measures 8m110' x 150' surfaced with asphalt. Airport codes: ICAO: VIAL IATA: IXD.
