Location
Lat 9° 22' 0S Long 150° 20' 60E  Bolubolu village located on the eastern coast of Goodenough Island bordering Beli Beli Bay.

Wartime History
Beli Beli Bay was developed into a U.S. Navy anchorage with a small ship wharf, Liberty Ship wharves and LST Landings. Bolubolu had supporting shore facilities including an engineering deopt and staging area. A road to the northwest connected to Vivigani.

Today
Bolubolu is the administrative center of Goodenough Island.

Charles Page adds:
"The village's school used an aircraft wing as its sign. This wing is now in the playground, and the under surface appears similar to the outer wing panel of the Boston."
