Aircraft History Built by Douglas. Constructors Number 29031. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as A-26C-45-DT Invader serial number 44-35752. On September 18, 1947 became part of the the U.S. Air Force (USAF) as B-26C-45-DT Invader serial number 44-35752. Later, converted into a TB-26C Invader training variant. In 1958 placed into storage at Monthan AFB. During 1966 sold as surplus to Rock Island Oil & Refining Company in Wichita, KS and registered as N8627E. This aircraft was to be converted as a Rock Island Monarch 26 for excutive travel, but was never converted and instead placed in open storage in Hutchinson, KS. In 1969 acquired by Donaire Inc. in Phoenix, AZ. In 1970 sold to Thomas W. Hammon in Phoenix, AZ. During 1972 sold to Kenting Aircraft Ltd. in Toronto, Canada and registered as CF-KBZ. In 1973 aquired by Conair Aviation Ltd. and flown as tanker no. 27. In 1979 registered as C-FKBZ. In 1988 aquired by Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum (CWHM). During June 1989 aquired by Courtesy Aircraft Inc. in Rockford, IL and registered as N81797. That same year aquired by Vern Rayburn of Boston, MA and painted with the nickname "The Rude Invader". In the 1990s, stored at Tom Reilly's Flying Tigers Warbird Museum.
