Aircraft History A6M2 Zero Model 21 manufacture number 11593 with tail code 13-122 was a bogus identity created for A6M2 Model 21 Zero Manufacture Number 51553. During the late 1960s, after problems with the PNG Government, Australian Thomas King attempt to hide the Zero's true identity before exporting it to Australia. The Zero was meticulously repainted with bogus stencil 11593 with tail number 13-122. Bogus victory markings were painted on the side fuselage with white crosses over their silhouettes, indicating a total of ten victories: (top row) B-26, P-40, P-38, P-40, P-40, B-26 (bottom row) P-39, P-39, B-26, B-17.
