A6M2 Zero (Reconstruction) component dataplate on the rear wall of the cockpit used to register the aircraft
This compondent dataplate's second line is shows this to be a Type 21, third line has part number 4611, fourth line has weight 4.8 kg, fifth line has three inspection stamps, the six line is blank. The line below the inspection stamps would normally have a stamped date in it, but after approximately October 1942 this practice was discontinued. The last line has the component’s manufacture number 1498 which would make this the 498th component assembled by Nakajima.
The manufacture number 1498 was used to register this aircraft with the FAA in the United States. This Zero is painted in the markings of A6M2 Zero 6544 Tail A1-1-129.
