A6M3 Zero 3028 side view abandoned at Buna Airfield
The largely intact Zero had some shrapnel holes or bullet holes in the fuselage from damage sustained in the air or while parked on the ground. In the foreground is the wreckage of A6M3 Zero Tail Q-1?? including the left wing with Hinomaru and fuselage wreckage including the rear of the engine mount at the far right.
