Ephron James, radio operator. The nose had a B-17E nose code added with a reinforced gun mount for a single forward firing .50 caliber machine gun. On the right side of the nose is the nose art of Walt Disney character Pluto and the dark rectangle is the over painted prior nickname "I Dood It". Above is the U. S. Army serial number stencil reads: "U. S. Army - Model B-17F Air Corps Serial No. 41-24543 Crew Weight 1200 lbs.".
