Japanese personnel inspect B-17E 41-2471 abandoned at Djogjakarta Airfield in Java
The two Japanese individuals visible are wearing Type 3 Japanese Navy uniforms indicating land based assignment. Behind is the waist door in the rear fuselage of B-17E 41-2471. On the tail is "12471" from the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) serial number 41-2471 and the tail rudder fabric is missing.
