Japanese pilots pose with the tail of B-17E 41-2488 at Singosari Airfield (Malang) on eastern Java
At Malang airfield Yoshida is posing against the rudder of a Boeing B-17 with 1Lt Fujikawa. USAAC Boeing B-17E Flying Fortress, s/n 41-2488, belonged to the 19th Bombardment Group and was destroyed on the ground on February 20, 1942 by nine Zero-sen of the Tainan Kokutai. Among them were ace pilots Lt Isozaki Chitoshi and LCDR Sasai Jun-ichi.
