B-17E "Frank Buck" 41-2659 fuselage being scrapped at Mareeba Airfield by 2nd Australian Corps Salvage Unit
(Center) (1) Captain D. Hamilton, NX113693 Commanding Officer (C. O.) with (Right) (2) Lt. K. R. Tozer, WX8713. Visible is the fuselage section on its right side with the bomb bay and the open lower hatch with the hatch removed. The fusleage is crushed with the two Australians inspecting parts. Inside the fuselae, the radio hatch visible behind (2) Tozer.
