B-17E "De-Icer" 41-9128 nickname and nose art on the right side of the nose
The nickname "De-Icer" is below the nose art of a tan brunette woman wearing shorts laying on the beach with palm trees and a cloud on the right side of the nose. Above was a scoreboard with a single row of bomb markings indicating at least nine bombing missions flown. Below is the pitot tube and in the center nose window is the the barrel of a .30 caliber machine gun in a socket. At the far left is the edge of the no. 3 engine cowling.
