Background
Peter Hudec was born on November 19, 1917 and lived in the New York City area. He joined the USAAF and was assigned to the 43rd Bombardment Group, 65th Bombardment Squadron as a navigator aboard B-17 Flying Fortresses in New Guinea.
On January 8, 1943 navigator aboard B-17E Flying Fortress 41-9234 on a bombing mission against Lae and survived the force landing near Black Cat Pass. Afterwards, on August 4, 1943, he married Olive Turner of Townsville, Australia.
The couple divorced in 1949. Hudec returned to New York and became a lawyer.

Hudec passed away November 1, 1994 in Glen Oaks area of Queens, New York.
