Aircraft History Built by Consolidated at San Diego. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-24D-7-CO Liberator serial number 41-23828. Ferried overseas via Hickam Field then across the Pacific to Australia. Wartime History Assigned to the 5th Air Force, 90th Bombardment Group, 321st Bombardment Squadron. Nicknamed "Czech'em" on the left side of the nose with the nose art of a falcon holding a flaming bomb. On the right side of the nose was "The Falcon" with a falcon holding a flaming bomb. Usually piloted by Lt. Henry L. Chovanec. This B-24 flew bombing missions over New Guinea and the Philippines. During October 1945, flown back to the United States.
