Aircraft History
Built by Consolidated at San Diego. Constructors Number 1144. Delivered to the U.S. Army as B-24D-30-CO Liberator serial number 42-40067. Ferried to Hickam Field then to the Central Pacific arriving in late 1942.
Wartime History
Assigned to the 7th Air Force, 11th Bombardment Group. Nicknamed "Pacific Tramp" and operated from the Central Pacific.
During late 1942, Brigadier General Truman H. Landon, C. O. 7th Bomber Command was photographed near this bomber.
On December 7, 1945 this B-24 arrived at Walnut Ridge. Scrapped sometime afterwards.
