Into Darkness photo page: "The nature of the terrain at the crash site helped us to determine the path of the B-24 just prior to impact. Because there was no impact damage or scarring of the soil on the many hills that surrounded the crash site, we decided that the crash occurred as a result of a near-vertical descent."
