Aircraft History
Built by Consolidated Aircraft Corporation at San Diego. Constructors Number 1991. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-24D-110-CO Liberator serial number 42-40914. Ferried overseas via Hawaii to Australia.

Wartime History
Assigned to the 5th Air Force (5th AF). A 43rd Bombardment Group crew including pilot Shad Shaddox beleived they would be assigned this bomber. His nose gunner, Joe DiMauro painted the nickname "Libby" and the nose art of gold-tone nude woman on both sides of the nose. Instead, this B-24 was not assigned to them.

Instead, assigned 90th Bombardment Group (90th BG), 320th Bombardment Squadron (320th BS) "Moby Dick" to pilot Captain Clifford L. Stupfel. Nicknamed "Golden Lady" in yellow above the nose art. This B-24 flew bombing missions over New Guinea. By early 1944, the side of the nose was adorned with at least ninety-seven bomb markers indicating missions flown. Plus silhouettes of six Japanese fighters claimed, five on daylight missions over Rabaul.

Later, assigned to the Far East Air Force - Combat Replacement and Training Center (FEAF-CRTC), 360th Air Service Group (360th SrG).

Fate
On November 7, 1944 scrapped at Nadzab Airfield.
