Aircraft History
Built by Consolidated. Assigned to the 90th Bombardment Group, 400th Bombardment Squadron. Origianally nicknamed "Dirty Gertie". Renamed "Twin Niftes II" (left) and "Twin Niftys II" (right) with nose art depicting a topless cow girl sitting on a fence. Named in honor of B-24D "Twin Nifty's" 42-40348 lost on August 17, 1943.

Wartime History
This B-24 flew extensive combat mission, operating from Hollandia Airfield.

When USO performers visited Hollandia, they signed the left side of the nose, including Brooks, Gary Cooper, Una Merkel and Andy Arnold.

After flying combat missions, this B-24 was scrapped on December 13, 1944.
