Built by Consolidated at San Diego. Delivered to the U.S. Army. Ferried overseas via Hickam Field to Australia.
Wartime History
Assigned to the 90th Bombardment Group, 320th Bombardment Squadron. Also, possibly assigned to the 321st Bombardment Squadron. Nicknamed "The Blonde Bomber" with the nose art of a nude blonde woman wearing high heels and holding an aerial bomb. This B-24 flew many combat missions over New Guinea and claimed several enemy fighters.
Wartime History
At some point in 1943, this B-24 suffered nose damaged and was repaired, adding a Consolidated turret to the nose. Ultimate fate unknown, likely scrapped.
