Killed in action March 11, over New Guinea Staff Sgt. Paul W. Martin
This photograph of Staff Sgt. Paul W. Martin was taken last October [1943] while home on furlough. Sgt. Martin was killed March 11th in action over Wewak [sic Hansa Bay] New Guinea in which 26 Japanese planes were destroyed, and our loss was two planes. His parents Mr. and Mrs. Roy Martin, of Glenwood, have received a letter of condolence from Gen. Douglas MacArthur."
