At 1:30pm last seen by B-24 pilot 2nd Lt. Nels T. Moody with damage on the waist section but did not appear to be in trouble on a heading of 225° on a course bound for Dobodura at an altitude of 6,000' over the Solomon Sea roughly 60 miles southeast of Wide Bay at roughly Lat 6° 30' S Long 152° E.
