Enlargement of the rear of B-24D Liberator 42-72954 parked at 5 Mile Drome (Ward)
The tail had the skull and cross bomb motif of the 90th Bomb Group (90th BG). The rear fuselage has the U.S. star and bar insignia and the bomb bay doors are open and left waist gun wind deflector is extended. Below are the twin .50 caliber machine guns installed on a scarf ring in the ball turret position and extended tail skid.
