Aircraft History Built by Consolidated Aircraft Corporation at San Diego. Constructors Number 2572. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-24J-1-CO Liberator serial number 42-73002. Ferried overseas via Hickam Field to the Central Pacific. Wartime History Assigned to the 7th Air Force (7th AF), 11th Bombardment Group (11th BG), 26th Bombardment Squadron (26th BS). Nicknamed "Hit-Parade" in white block letters with the nose art of a bomb exploding with a woman wearing a marching band uniform holding a mace in one hand and wearing high heel boots. On the left side of the nose was stenciled 002 in yellow, the last three digits of the serial number. Ultimate fate unknown, likely scraapped or otherwise disappeared.
