Aircraft History Built by Consolidated at San Diego. Constructors Number 2617. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-24J-5-CO Liberator serial number 42-73047 and converted into the F-7A photographic reconnaissance version. Ferried overseas via Hickam Field then across the Pacific to the South West Pacific Area (SWPA). Wartime History Assigned to the 5th Air Force (5th AF), 6th Photographic Reconnaissance Group (6th PRG), 20th Combat Mapping Squadron (20th CMS). Assigned to pilot Brower. Nicknamed "The Rip Snorter" with the nose art of a woman with her dress caught on a barbed wire fence and with a snorting bull in the background. Below the cockpit window was a scoreboard with cameras indicating missions flown. During June 1945, written off at Biak. Ultimate fate unknown, likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
